Every year the Tampa Bay Rays and their wives participate in a fashion show called “Rays on the Runway” benefiting the Children’s Dream Fund.

The event now on its 7th year was held today at The Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club.

Founded in 1981, The Children’s Dream Fund is a local charity whose mission is to fulfilled dreams for children ages 3 to18 that have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.

Some of the dream children joined the Rays to do some modeling; they showcased the latest summer styles and trends. The players wore Tommy Bahama and were styled by fashion stylist Tamy Lugo. The player's wives were dressed and styled by Penelope T. Boutique and the teenage dream girls were dressed and styled by Don Me Now (Styling & Clothing Lounge).

Prior to the show there was a meet and greet with the players with lots of food and drinks including champagne and Ray-tinis. The sold out event also held an auction of some of the Rays favorites things as well as Rays autographed merchandise.

The players that took part of the event were:
